CULTURAL MANU (4 days - 3 nights)

Day 1: Puerto Maldonado - Posada Amazonas

Very early in the morning, our representant will pick our passengers from their hotel to take the to Cusco airport to take a 35 minutes flight to Boca Manu. From there we will leave down the river through the Madre de Dios river in a covered boat. After 90 minutes aprox. we will be arriving to Manu Wildlife Center to have lunch. In the afternoon we will explore some of the 30 miles of paths that are around the lodging, over there it is posible to find some of the 12 monkey species existing in this area, such as the saki and tamarin emperor. After dinner we wiil g oto the tapirs' collpa located 1 hour far from the lodging. Over there we have built a platform specially to watch these creatures that come to the collpa to eat find their food in the mud.

Day 2: Posada Amazonas

We wake up before the dawn to go to the only macaws and parrots collpa in the Manu are. The trip takes around 25 minutes aprox. From a floating hiding place it is posible to watch and photograph hundreds of middle and big parrots, as well as a red and green macaws and that come to eat in this collpa. From may to july it has not so much activity as in augusto r september. In the afternoon, after lunch , we Hill visit one of this area's lakes, we will find a great birds variety there, including the Hoatzin, usually called Shansho, as well as the biggest river otters. After dinner we will have the chance to visit the tapir´s collpa.

Day 3: Puerto Maldonado

We wake up abefore dawn to explore the paths with emphasis in the fruit trees with our biologists and native guides support. In this zone we also will find more monkeys and birds species. It is also possible to visit one of the 2 lakes before to explore the forestal paths. After lunch we will have the chance to explore some other paths to search some other birds and mammals. After dinner, in according to visitor's interest, we can visit again the tapirs collpa.
Day 4: Puerto Maldonado
After breakfast we will board a boat to go to the Boca Manu airport, where a flight to Cusco will be taken. Arrival, reception and transfer to the hotel. Departures:
