NEW Salkantay Inca Trail to Machu Picchu (5 days - 4 nights)
This is a remote and ancient road in the same area of the Inca Trail, but it offers wonderful views and less crowded than the Inca Trail, the route we will see a progression of the various ecological zones with subtropical areas, glacial peaks, to arrive at the Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.
Day 01 Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa.
The pickup will be 4:00 to 4:40 for their lodgings, exit 5a.m. local bus heading towards Mollepata small town located at an altitude of 2.850 meters, temperate jungle vegetation and the contours of the village we can see some mountains that belong to the chain of Salkantay are at an altitude of 4000 to 5000 meters. We will be at approximately 7:00 a.m. Mollepata where we enjoy in this beautiful landscape that is part of the Salkantay snow which is located at a height of 6.200 meters., contemplating this landscape we will begin our walk which will last approximately 7-8 hours so it will be accompanied by vegetation outside of the jungle, the road we will have lunch and then we will continue to reach SORAYPAMPA place of our first camp.
Day 02 Soraypampa - Salkantaymayu - Challhuay.
The sunrise will be awesome when we wake up and first we will see the majestic Salkantay, 7:00 am As we will have to taste the breakfast and then continue with the trip this time will last for 7-8 hours approximate where looking on echo clarity tone and the difference between altitudinal zones, enter into a kind of cannon that will take us till the foot of Salkantay, after three hours of walking we will have lunch, continuing our reach to find the Salkantay to descend and open see the beginning of the forest that day arrive until CHALLHUAY where spend the night.
Day 03 Challhuay - Lluskamayu - Beach
We begin a new day and a new temperature and new landscape here begins the warm weather beginning of the jungle. After breakfast we will continue with the tour, today will be valleys through which we can observe various birds, mammals, insects and other animals that are in place, we will have the opportunity to observe the lifestyle of the resident of the area and enjoy Hot Springs (Collpapampa), cataracts (Wuiñaypoco). Always when we have time. Then we continue with our tour which will last approximately 4-6 hours before lunch (sahuayacu or beach) and then take our bus to take us to Santa Teresa where spend the night.
Day 04 Playa - Santa Teresa - Aguas Calientes.
Waking up our breakfast we will continue our hike about 40 minutes to reach the shores of the river VILCANOTA, here we must make use of the barrage. Our tour is 3 hours about the direction of the power plant which will appreciate the Urubamba River valley, the great waterfall that flows from the mountains of Machu Picchu, the northeastern part of MACHUPICCHU be the perfect place where we will have lunch then visit the Intihuatana of 121 km. At the end of our visit we will wait for the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes where we will rest in a comfortable hostel.
Day 05 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Today is the big day to meet the Historical Sanctuary of Machupicchu. At 6:00 am we are ready to hike towards Machupicchu where we will have a guided tour. In the afternoon return train to Cusco City
